CIPA 2017: Digital Workflows for Heritage Conservation

28 August - 1 September 2017 CIPA Symposium, Ottawa/Canada

The CIPA has been working since 1986 to facilitate the technology transfer from the measurement sciences into the heritage documentation and recording disciplines. In this context, this year’s 26th symposium concentrates on digital workflows for heritage conservation.

Dirk Rieke-Zapp, AICON Key Account Manager Arts & Culture, shows in his presentation “Face to face – Close-range inspection of head vases” a digitization project of Attic pouring vases. In the exhibition, he presents the PrimeScan, a versatile scanner for the highly precise and mobile digitization in arts and cultural heritage.
